Terms of Use

Last updated February 16, 2023

Welcome to the doxoPLUS Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms are between you and Doxo, Inc and/or its affiliates (“doxo”, “We” or “Us”) and govern our respective rights and obligations. Please note that your use of the doxo website or doxo mobile app and your doxoPLUS subscription are also governed by the agreements listed and linked to below, as well as all other applicable terms, conditions, limitations, and requirements on the doxo website, all of which (as changed over time) are incorporated into these Terms. If you sign up for a doxoPLUS subscription, you accept these terms, conditions, limitations and requirements.

The Program

As a subscriber of doxoPLUS, you may pay and schedule to pay bills every month through an approved financial instrument for so long as you are a subscriber of the program without incurring any additional individual transaction fees. From time to time, we may add or remove financial instruments from the program and we make no guarantee as to the number of financial instruments available. The program, along with doxo’s other services, is currently only available to customers in the United States. If your subscription ends, you may continue to pay any payable biller available on doxo but will be charged a standard fee for each transaction. In the event that you pay a biller with a non-approved financial instrument you will be charged additional transaction fees which will be calculated and displayed to you at the time of the transaction.

Approved Financial Instrument List

doxo maintains a list of approved financial instruments that doxo may change at any time. For example, regulated debit cards and ACH money transfers from bank accounts may be approved financial instruments, but non-regulated debit cards and credit cards may not be on the approved financial instruments list. An approved financial instrument must be used in order for the payment transaction fee for the biller payment to be waived. While a subscriber of doxoPLUS, you may make payments using non-approved financial instruments; however, you will be charged that instrument’s transaction fee which will be calculated and displayed to you at the time of the transaction. If, while a subscriber of doxoPLUS, your financial instrument becomes non-approved and you have no alternative approved instruments, you will be notified at the time of your next biller payment. It will be your responsibility to find an approved financial instrument to use with doxoPLUS. If you cannot find an approved financial instrument, you may use a non-approved financial instrument and pay the related transaction fee, or you may cancel your doxoPLUS subscription and it is your responsibility to do so.

Late Fee & Overdraft Fee Reimbursement

Active doxoPLUS subscribers are eligible for Late Fee and Overdraft Fee reimbursement as part of their benefits.

Late fee reimbursement maximum claim is limited to $100 per incident, no more than twice the amount of the late fee charged and no more than 3 late fee reimbursements in any 30 day period. In order to request a reimbursement, the doxoPLUS subscriber will submit a claim through the late fee claim form. The doxo claims reviewer will ask you to provide a statement, bill, or other biller document reflecting the amount of the late fee charged, as well as the doxo email payment receipt or other evidence that the doxo payment was submitted with a doxo delivery date prior to the due date of the bill in question.

Overdraft fee reimbursement maximum claim is limited to $100 per incident, no more than twice the overdraft fee charged and no more than 3 overdraft fee reimbursements in any 30 day period. In order to request a reimbursement, the doxoPLUS subscriber will submit a claim through the overdraft fee claim form. The doxo claims reviewer will ask you to provide a bank statement or other bank artifact documenting the amount and date of the overdraft fee charged, and confirming that the doxo payment in question was the only and sole cause of the overdraft.

Fees and Renewal

The membership fees for doxoPLUS are $5.99 per month, or $59.88 per year, depending on your plan selection. From time to time, we may offer different subscription terms, and the fees for such subscription may vary. For example, we could offer an introductory subscription for the first month at $3.99 and all subsequent months at $5.99. Subscription fees may be subject to tax and are non-refundable except as expressly set forth in these Terms. Unless you notify us before a charge that you want to cancel or do not want to auto renew, you understand your doxoPLUS subscription will automatically continue for the subscription period you have selected and you authorize us (without notice to you, unless required by applicable law) to collect the then-applicable subscription fees and any taxes, using any payment method we have on record for you. If all payment methods we have on file for you are declined for payment of your subscription fees, your subscription will be canceled unless you provide us with a new payment method. If you provide us with a new payment method and are successfully charged before your subscription is cancelled, your new subscription period will be based on the original renewal date and not the date of the successful charge.

Limits on Bill Payments

There is a $7,500 or 50 transaction limit per month on doxo bill pay services, whichever comes first. Transactions exceeding either the dollar amount limit or the transaction count limit in any given monthly period may result in doxo cancelling the transactions exceeding those limits, cancellation of your doxo account, or both.

Subscription Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription by visiting your account and adjusting your subscription settings. This means that you will have continued access to your subscription for the remainder of that period, and you will not receive a refund of any subscription fees already paid.

Restrictions

Promotional Trial Memberships

doxo may offer a promotional trial period at the start of your membership. You will be billed for the purchase of your subscription at the conclusion of that trial period, which will start the term of your subscription. You will receive a notification of this billing at the email address with which you subscribed to the service.

doxo also will sometimes offer certain customers various trial or other promotional doxoPLUS subscriptions, which are subject to these Terms except as otherwise stated in the promotional offers. Trial subscribers may at any time (through their accounts) choose not to continue to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period.

Agreement Changes

We may at our discretion change these Terms, the doxo Users Terms of Service and the doxo Privacy and Security Policy, or any aspect of the doxoPLUS subscription. We will notify you of any changes via the email address you have in your account settings. If any change to these Terms is found invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that change is severable and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining changes or conditions. If you do not agree to any changes, you must cancel your subscription. Your continued subscription after we change these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

Termination by Us

We may terminate your subscription at our discretion without notice. If we do so, we will give you a prorated refund based on the number of days remaining in your subscription. However, we will not give any refund for termination related to change in approval status of your financial instrument, conduct that we determine, at our discretion, violates these Terms or any applicable law, involves fraud or misuse of the subscription, is harmful to our interests or another user, or if you try to cancel your subscription through your financial instrument and not through the doxoPLUS settings. Our failure to insist upon or enforce your strict compliance with these Terms will not constitute a waiver of any of our rights.

Disputes; Limitation of Liability

Any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or your subscription is subject to the governing law, disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability and all other terms in the doxo User Terms of Service. You agree to those terms by signing up for doxoPLUS. Without limiting the disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability in the doxo User Terms of Service, our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the total doxoPLUS subscription fees you paid to us in the twelve months prior to the claim.
